Broni Likomanov was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he studied art design at Apply Art High School
and took his B.A. of animation filmmaking from the National Academy of Theatre and Film art. Broni
currently lives with his wife and children in Los Angeles, California. He has been working as an artist
in the animation industry for over 20 years for such companies as Disney, Universal, Klasky Csupo,
and Loonland. He has been twice nominated for Emmy.
His original paintings and sculptures are in private collections in U.S.A, Nederland, Belgium,
Hungary, Canada and Bulgaria.

Broni’s film sensitivity brings the beauty and the wonders of the human body to light in a new way. His
sculptures are not captured moments in time, but rather stories that unfold in front of the viewers.
The “characters” in them are “torn” by their emotions (loneness, love, desire, and lust…).

“Sculpting for me is telling a story where the human body is the main character. There is no real
beginning or end. The fragmented and sometimes incomplete limbs are like scattered pieces of
emotions and thoughts, left for the viewer to complete.”
